Teen singer Selena Gomez has asked the media to leave her alone as she doesn’t want to talk about her private life.

The Disney star is rumoured to have dated Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner in the past but said she wants people to focus on her acting rather than her private life.

She said to UK’s You magazine: “My ideal would be not to be known for whom I’m dating, because eventually that’s all you will be known for.

“It’s hard, because people are curious about who’s in my life, but I want to be known for my work. And I never want to view myself as any different or any better than anyone else.”

Gomez added: “If I wanna go eat at a little restaurant that isn’t fancy, I’ll do it. If I wanna go out without make-up and not care what I look like, I will.”

Disney Channel has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy Award-winning sitcom “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and is in development on the sequel to “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie,” cable TV’s second-highest rated scripted telecast of all time in Total Viewers (13.5 million), Kids 6-11 and Tweens. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production on the fourth season is scheduled to begin in August with show runners Vince Cheung and Ben Montanio (“Married…with Children,” “Greetings from Tucson”) executive-producing. Todd J. Greenwald (“Hannah Montana,” “Saved By the Bell: The New Class”) is the series creator and also an executive producer.

The script for the Disney Channel Original Movie sequel will be written by Dan Berendsen (Disney’s “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” and the upcoming “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam”).

SELENA Gomez went sightseeing in Paris, France, Thursday morning.

The Wizards of Waverly Place actress — who’s in the midst of a European promotional tour — arrived in the French capital after a midnight flight from Madrid, Spain.

She was up at 9 a.m., and enjoyed what the city had to offer.

She stopped into the neighborhood Café Castel for croissants with her mother, then headed over to the Eiffel Tower’s gardens where she was recognized by fans who requested photos and autographs, People magazine reports.

Meanwhile, Gomez, 17, has joined forces with Kmart for a budget-friendly juniors fashion line, dubbed “Dream Out Loud.”

The collection — inspired by Selena’s own style — will include apparel, handbags, belts, scarves, hats, hair accessories, socks and hosiery when it launches in Kmart stores and on Kmart.com in July.

Come October, the 17-year-old will also add footwear to the much-anticipated lineup.
